My current research project is Evaluation of On-Board Monitoring of Commercial Vehicle Drivers. The objective of this ongoing study is to determine whether on-board monitoring will reduce risky behavior among commercial drivers and improve driver safety performance. More specifically, the project will determine if recording and reporting of safety critical events, followed by coaching drivers (by safety supervisors) using these safety events as feedback, will promote safe driving behavior.
