In addition to the regular class meetings, graduate students enrolled in
Biological Frameworks for Engineers are required to attend a weekly 60-minute "journal
club" session. (The journal club is optional for undergraduates.)
Each journal club session is an instructor-led discussion of a piece of literature
handed out a week earlier along with a study guide. Sample assignments are
