Process Group for Graduate Women of Color

Are you a graduate student being challenged by:

  • Loss, rejection or impacted due to a traumatic event?
  • A lack of personal or emotional support?
  • Lack of academic support in your research, thesis or dissertation?
  • Responding to “invisibility” or the “imposter syndrome”?
  • Feelings of depressed mood or anxious feelings?

This group is open to women enrolled in graduate (masters/doctoral) or professional (MD, DDS, JD) programs.

This group will provide a safe environment for those wanting to explore feelings associated with loss, rejection or impact due to a traumatic event.

This group will emphasize self–awareness, confidence and self-esteem through growth-oriented collaboration and help graduate students of color and ethnic minority students develop core strengths, which exist within every person. This group will explore concepts of invisibility, imposter syndrome and marginalization and work to understand how these influence or affect one’s ability to complete graduate level programs.
