Our many Primary and Specialty Care Clinics offer much more than your typical student health center.
You are already eligible for many valuable health services, which are available at no further cost to UW students who pay the quarterly Services and Activity Fee along with their tuition:
Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students (BASICS) is a service for students who want to explore their alcohol use.
Fees are charged for follow-up visits, preventive care visits (such as routine physicals and annual exams), all procedures and specialty services (such as Mental Health, Physical Therapy, Travel Clinic, laboratory tests, x-rays, etc.).
Most students (about 85%) have some form of health insurance, either through coverage via a family member or the UW Student Health Insurance Plan. In most cases, Hall Health Center can bill your insurance for services provided.
To confirm your coverage, please contact your insurance company. For those without insurance, it is possible to set up a payment plan. See our Insurance and Billing section for answers to your billing questions.
Access to health care is easy, as appointments are usually available within 24 hours (same day whenever possible). Even without an appointment, you may be seen by one of our many Medical Providers or Consulting Nurses. See Your First Visit for more information.
Referrals are easily made for services not available here, as we are part of the UW Physicians Network, which includes the UW Medical Center, UWMC Roosevelt Clinic, Harborview Medical Center, and ten UW Physicians Neighborhood Clinics in the Seattle area.
