2012-2013 Flu Season Information

10/01/2012:  Flu vaccine will be available in the Immunization Clinic at Hall Health Center.  No appointment needed

Payment Options:

1. Flu Shots $25 or Flumist™ (nasal) $35 for current UW students paying cash or check

• You must show your UW student ID for this price.

2. Bill directly to insurance:  flu shot or Flumist™

• Non-students
• UW students who wish to have their insurance billed

Flu Vaccine Information:

• Flu vaccine is recommended for all persons age 6 months and older.
• The 2012-2013 flu vaccine strains include:  H1N1 and H3N2. 
• Patients 2 yrs.–49 yrs. may get nasal mist (Flumist™) if all criteria are met;

• Patients 6 months and older may get injectable flu vaccine.
• Pregnant patients should get a preservative free dose if available; however the WA State law regarding the preservative thimerisol has been suspended for the 2012-2013 flu season. More information at: http://www.doh.wa.gov/YouandYourFamily/IllnessandDisease/Flu.aspx
