Dr. Christina Chavez has been a practicing psychiatrist since 1982. She is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
She also has maintained a private practice in Seattle since 1990. She provides consultation for placement on medication and also provides ongoing psychotherapy with an eclectic approach.
She believes that the foundation of an excellent doctor-patient relationship is listening to the patient. She listens to her patient's concerns and presents the benefits and risks of any treatment offered.
Spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.
Her particular interests are in women's issues regarding premenstrual and perimenopausal syndromes. She also has extensive experience with post-traumatic stress disorder.
She is involved with the training of psychiatric residents on an ongoing basis.
