Jennifer Whipple, LMHC
Mental Health Therapist
Jen received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2012 from Indiana State University. She became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) by the state of Washington in 2015 (license number LH60529425).
Jen’s background is in collegiate athletics where she was a soccer coach before deciding to pursue her master’s and has a strong interest in athletic identity, performance, and athlete mental health. She has a wide range of experiences that have given her an additional passion for working with the LGBTQ+ communities.
Patient Care Philosophy
Jen’s approach is integrative guided by psychodynamic principals with a strong focus on being client-centered, collaborative, strengths-based and using mindfulness practices. Jen believes that each person has an innate capacity to heal themselves when provided with a safe, non-judgmental, empathic environment.
Jen has experience working with issues related to gender identity, sexual orientation, open/polyamorous relationships, and “coming out.” She also has an interest in trauma, substance use, identity development, depression, anxiety, transitions, nutrition and exercise, spirituality, multicultural issues, stress management, and family of origin issues.
