Dr. Gerber received her M.S. in clinical psychology in 2007 and Psy.D. in 2010 from Long Island University in Brookville, NY.  Her most recent work has been providing individual and group psychotherapy as well as crisis intervention to undergraduate, graduate, and professional school students. She has experience working with adolescents, families, and couples. In addition to working with individuals and couples, she also leads beginning and intermediate meditation groups each quarter. Patient Care Philosophy

Dr. Gerber’s approach to psychotherapy is integrative, reflecting her training in dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness meditation, and contemporary insight-oriented treatments.  She strives to meet individuals where they are and collaboratively establish meaningful therapeutic goals.

Clinical Interests

Her areas of interest include life transitions, identity formation, and use of mindfulness practices in coping with difficult life events.
