Urgent Need Same-Day Care InformationIf you have an urgent medical problem, please call the Patient Services Center at (206) 616-2495 to schedule a same day appointment. We will make every effort to schedule a visit for the day you call. If you have an urgent mental health issue, please call (206) 583-1551 to reach an on-call professional in the mental health clinic. He or she will be available on a same day basis during regular business hours (9:00am - 4:30pm weekdays) to talk to patients in a crisis. Please advise us when you call that you need to be spoken with today. Also, leave your name, a phone number where you can be reached and your social security #. UW students are eligible for one crisis intervention visit at no charge. Consulting Nurse ServiceHall Health offers consulting (triage) nurse services by phone for all UW students and established non-student patients of our clinic, accessible by calling one of the numbers below. For students only, the consulting nurses are also available on a walk-in basis until 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Sorry, but we do not give phone advice or in person advice to members of the general public.
Usually, a nurse can speak to you right away, but there may be times when you will be asked to leave a number where you can be reached. It is our goal to respond to all calls within 60 minutes. If you are an established patient and have questions relating to a recent visit, please call the medical assistant directly. After-Hours NeedsFor urgent medical advice after hours, call the Nurse Consult Service (Harborview Medical Center) at 206-744-2500. A nurse will be able to advise you about your problem, make treatment suggestions, and arrange necessary consultation if you need to be seen on an emergency basis.
