Urgent Need

Same-Day Care Information

Most appointments will be scheduled in advance, however there may be times when you need to be seen sooner than the schedule allows. This is usually because you have an acute illness or problem. In this case, you may contact a consulting (or triage) nurse who can access your problem, make self-treatment recommendations or fit you in with a provider if appropriate. The triage nurse is also available on a walk-in basis until 4:30 pm daily.

For urgent medical advice after hours, call the Nurse Consult Service (Harborview Medical Center) at 206-744-2500. A nurse will be able to advise you about your problem, make treatment suggestions, and arrange necessary consultation if you need to be seen on an emergency basis.
