Back to Study Options Page | DJ Miller DJ earned the M.Ed. degree in the Higher Education program, focusing his studies within the Student Affairs specialization. Upon entering GPHE, DJ was an Academic Counselor in the Industrial Engineering program at the University of Washington. After graduation, DJ became the Director of Student Services for the Information School at the University of Washington. DJ says, "being a student in GPHE provided a perfect opportunity to broaden my knowledge base of issues that professionals such as myself encounter daily." Coupled with a deep love for travel and other cultures, DJ is drawn to the international student experience. As part of his academic program, he hope will investigate the administrative complexities encountered by international students who come to study here in the United States--a salient issue in the aftermath of September 11th and legislation such as the Patriot Act). DJ is specifically interested in examining how administrators in higher education can facilitate a smooth transition and subsequent learning environment for these students. |
