2006 Graduation class1

The Health Informatics and Health Information Management Program prepares individuals for a career in health information management and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Health Information Management Education.

HIHIM provides a baccalaureate and a post baccalaureate certificate program offered through the School of Public Health and Community Medicine and through the University of Washington Educational Outreach.

Students enrolled in the program acquire a sound background in:

  • Health data systems
  • Organizational theory
  • Computer systems in health care
  • Health information systems analysis
  • Management theory and application
  • Quality assurance theory and application
  • Finance and legal issues

HIHIM enrollment is competitive.
