Kathy is a senior lecturer in the Health Informatics and Health Information Managment Program. She teaches courses on introduction to health information management, clinical vocabularies and coding, revenue cycle management, and electronic health records and health information sytems. She works with students on selected independent study projects and capstone projects. Kathy is a past president of the Washington State Health Information Management Association (WSHIMA). She is a recipient of the WSHIMA President's Award and the AHIMA Coding Roundtable Coordinator award. She serves as a reviewer for the Commission on the Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
