When I was 4 years old, I helped my mom rescue a baby bird that was attacked by the neighbor’s cat. We put the bird in a shoebox lined with a towel and brought it to a bird sanctuary where many different birds
and owls were being taken care of. We learned that it is bad to give a baby bird water but that it was OK that we gave it some mashed up worms. It felt good to help the baby bird and it was cool to see all of the rescued birds.
What was your body doing…watching, helping, moving, gently holding, protecting, caring
What senses were you using…watching the bird, listening to the bird noises, touching the soft bird (but not too much), hoping that the bird would live

This is a beautiful story! Thank you so much Orion for sharing and for helping the baby bird when it was in trouble.
