UW Medicine EMS & Trauma Conference 2018

The course is sponsored annually by Harborview Medical Center and Airlift Northwest. Harborview is the designated Level I trauma center for Washington State as well as the trauma and burn referral center for Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho (WAMI).
This two-day multi-disciplinary conference highlights current issues in trauma care throughout the continuum: pre-hospital, emergency, critical care, acute care, and rehabilitation. Nationally recognized speakers and local experts in trauma care will present topics pertinent to nurses, physicians, paramedics, social workers, program managers, and other healthcare providers.
Day 1 of the conference features a Geriatrics Track, sponsored by Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center and featuring Injury Care section lead Saman Arbabi, M.D., MPH, associate members Itay Bentov, M.D., and Lisa Taitsman, M.D., and former HIPRC fellow Kathleen O’Connell, M.D., MPH.
Other speakers from HIPRC include Safe and Active Transport section lead Beth Ebel, M.D., M.Sc., MPH; core member Eileen Bulger, M.D.; and associate members Tam Pham, M.D., Adeyinka Adedipe, M.D., R.D.M.S., Mary King, M.D., and Bryce Robinson, M.D., M.S., F.A.C.S., F.C.C.M.
