Research Seminars

Project Leads: Frederick Rivara, MD, MPH and Larry Zalin, MA

This seminar is an opportunity for the exchange of information about a wide range of injury control activities. The seminar takes place on a weekly basis from September to June each year. The meeting is an open forum to discuss project development and progress. It is also a time for investigators to practice presentations that will be delivered to the larger stakeholder community at local, state, national, and international meetings. Feedback and the exchange of ideas are encouraged as a way to improve current study designs, interventions and project activities. Current and proposed projects by HIPRC faculty and staff, as well as work by investigators at other institutions, are the focus of the seminars attended by HIPRC faculty, staff and students. State and local community partners are invited to attend any topics of interest. Topics range from trauma care to community-based prevention activities to research methods.
