Application to the History Graduate Program
We are pleased that you are interested in graduate study in the Department of History. Applications for Autumn 2010 admission are now available.
Before proceeding with the application, please be sure to review our Admission and Degree Requirements for MA and PhD applicants.
After you have determined that the UW Department of History meets your needs, you may begin the application process.
To obtain your departmental application materials, click on the link below. You will be asked to answer a series of simple questions so that we can provide you with the appropriate application forms. These forms are available as PDF files (viewable using Adobe Acrobat Reader*).
All application materials must be received in the History Graduate Office by 1 December 2009. This is not a postmark deadline.

*If you encounter difficulties in obtaining the materials online you may request that a set of hard copy forms be sent to you. In your request please specify whether you are an international or domestic applicant, and whether you will have an M.A. in History by Autumn 2010. If possible, please also specify the problem you encountered in downloading our forms electronically.
