Reaction

Specific combinations of symptoms have been associated with a greater incidence of abacavir hypersensitivity reaction. In addition, the greater the number of organ systems involved, the more likely the diagnosis. Forty-nine percent of patients with a diagnosis of abacavir hypersensitivity reaction had involvement of 3 or 4 organ systems. GI = Gastrointestinal. Adapted from Clay PG.
