Reaction

Specific combinations
of symptoms have been associated with a greater incidence of abacavir hypersensitivity
reaction. In addition, the greater the number of organ systems involved, the
more likely the diagnosis. Forty-nine percent of patients with a diagnosis of
abacavir hypersensitivity reaction had involvement of 3 or 4 organ systems. GI
