Figure 1. Metabolism and Excretion of Statin Drugs

The statin drugs have various routes of metabolism and all of the statins, except pravastatin, undergo significant metabolism by one or more of the cytochrome P450 isozymes. The drugs, rosuvastatin and pravastatin, are also excreted unchanged (non-metabolized).
