This website provides information related to HIV news and events, educational
and training platform materials, and provider resources for special
populations. In addition, the site provides links to each of the AIDS
Educational and Training Centers in the United States (AIDS Services
and Contacts). Use of this site does not require log in.

This website is a service funded by the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services (DHHS) and serves as the major site for federally-funded
guidelines related to the medical management of HIV. The guideline
topics include antiretroviral therapy, opportunistic infections, maternal-child
transmission, and postexposure prophylaxis. Use of this site does not
require log in.
American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM)

This organization is the largest organization of HIV frontline providers
and it has served as a leader in establishing the HIV specialist credentialing
process. This site provides very useful information regarding the credentially
process and the academy’s Self-Directed Medicine Education Program,
including the Core Curriculum, the HIV Medicine Self-Directed Study
Guide, and an educational workshop series.

HIV InSite

This site provides free access the HIV InSite Knowledge Base, a comprehensive,
on-line textbook of HIV disease from the University of California San
Francisco and San Francisco General Hospital. In addition, the site
provides new and noteworthy medical information, a newswatch, and substantial
information related to prevention of HIV. Use of this site does not
require log in.
HIV Medicine Association (HIVMA)

This organization was created by the Infectious Diseases Society of America
for medical professions engaged in HIV medicine. This site provides
information regarding education, training, practice guidelines, prevention,
and public policy. This site also has HIVMA’s definition of an experience
HIV provider.
Johns Hopkins AIDS Service

This website provides timely literature reviews (article summaries) and
access to the bimonthly newsletter, Hopkins HIV Report. The site has
an extensive section on prevention of HIV. Dr. Joel Gallant provides
a very interesting expert Q & A that includes a Clinician Forum
and a Patient Forum. Use of this site does not require log in.

This website is one of the many subspecialty Medscape websites and it
provides news information, expert reviews and commentary, and numerous
CME topics, conference summaries, ask the expert topics, a antiretroviral

National HIV/AIDS Clinicians’ Consultation Center (NCCC)

This website provides general information regarding the NCCC, a service
that includes the National HIV Telephone Consultation Service ("Warmline")
and the National Clinicians’ Post-Exposure Prophylaxis Hotline ("PEPline").
The site also contains useful consultation resources, training materials,
archived newsletters, and answers to commonly asked questions regarding
postexposure prophylaxis, and resistance testing consultation panel
case reports. Use of this site is free and no registration is required.
