Professor, Department of Medicine

My research addresses insulin-like growth factors, their receptors, and binding proteins in prostate cancer. We study the interlationships between these factors and tumor progression, especially as they relate to the androgen receptor and NK-T cell immune system. Although most of our work involves molecular and cell biology, we currently have a human IGF-IR antibody in preclinical testing with Phase I clinical studies slated for early 2005. In addition our T-cell studies include a number of measurements in clinical samples and their relationship to disease progression.
