2010 Physician's Oath and Hooding Ceremony

When: Saturday, June 5, 2010, 10 a.m.

Where: Bank of America Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion

Hec Edmundson Pavilion provides ample seating, so feel free to invite whomever you wish. No guest entry tickets will be distributed. Guests will need to enter through the southwest entrance on Montlake Boulevard, near the Husky dog statue.

A reception that is hosted by Dr. Ramsey for you and your guests will follow the Hooding ceremony at the Pavilion. This reception consists of light refreshments and is open to everyone.

This year's graduating students are the 60th class to receive the degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of Washington. The Hooding Ceremony formally acknowledges the achievements of these students and, through the administration of the Hippocratic Oath or Physician's Oath, reminds the students of the high standards of performance and behavior to which each aspires and with which each is challenged as they enter upon professional careers as physicians.
