Gardening on the Internet
I'm a beginning gardener, are there websites to help me?
A solid collection of books are as important as any other tool that a gardener uses. A list of recommended titles can be found at the Miller Library's Book Lists by Topic. http://depts.washington.edu/hortlib/resources/booklists.shtml
Several websites also have some good starting tips and suggestions, including:
Basic Gardening Skills from the Washington State University Master Gardener Library: An excellent
collection of essays on all the most essential elements of gardening. Good even if you don't live in Washington.

Beginning Gardening from Mother Earth News magazine is a long, but not overwhelming article covering tools, fertilizing, preparing a new planting bed, composting and more.
If you are ready for more reading try library of articles on organic gardening that goes back to 1970!
