States". This site describes the center's programs and publications, but the heart is the National Collection of
Endangered Plants database which list descriptions, distributions, habitat and extensive bibliographies on 580
rare North American plants and the member institutions where they are grown.
Center for Invasive Plant Management
"The Center for Invasive Plant Management (CIPM) has developed an online Restoration
Resource Database to allow land managers to search for literature, books, handbooks,
and web sites on restoration, particularly related to invasive species.
References from federal and state agencies, journals, conservation organizations,
and others have been consolidated into one easy-to-access online database.
A search provides users with a citation, a short description of the resource,
and contact information and/or web links for obtaining the resource."

ECOTOX Database System
The ECOTOXicology database is a source for locating single chemical toxicity
data for aquatic life, terrestrial plants and wildlife. ECOTOX integrates
three toxicology effects databases: AQIURE (aquatic life), PHYTOTOX
(terrestrial plants), and TERRETOX (terrestrial wildlife). These databases
were created by the U.S. EPA, Office of Research and Development, and the
National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory.
Invasive and Exotic Species of North America -
Images

agents providing "an accessible and easily used archive of high quality images...with an emphasis on educational
applications." Images are available to download for non-profit and educational purposes.
Invasives on the Web
A database of The Nature Conservatory's reference material on invasive plant species, with an emphasis on the
ecology and control. Select from the listings by latin or common name, then select HTML, Adobe Acrobat
or MS Word format.
Invasive Plant Conference 2006 proceedings: Meeting the Challenge: Invasive Plants in PNW Ecosystems
The mission of the conference was to create strategies and partnerships to understand and manage invasions of non-native plants in the Pacific Northwest. The audience included over 180 professionals, students, and citizens from public and private organizations responsible for
monitoring, studying, or managing non-native invasive plants. This proceedings includes twenty-seven papers based on
oral presentations at the conference plus a synthesis paper that summarizes workshop themes, discussions, and related
information. Topics include early detection and rapid response; control techniques, biology, and impacts; management
approaches; distribution and mapping of invasive plants; and partnerships, education, and outreach.
Invasives - United States National
Arboretum
The U.S. National Arboretum's web pages on invasive plants offer, by state, resources for identification of
noxious weeds, the laws and procedures pertaining to a plant's becoming listed and many other web resources
related to education about invasive plants.
Invasive and Exotic Species of North America - Images

photo database of invasive plants, plant diseases and harmful insects, and some of their biological control
agents.
