Budget cuts force reduction in Library hours
Due to the downturn in the stock market the Library’s endowment income has fallen sharply. In response to this budget reality staff payroll will be reduced by 20% and hours reduced by 14%. Starting September first hours will be Monday 4:00pm – 8:00pm; Tuesday-Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm and Saturday 9:00am – 3:00pm.

Hinkley Book Launch a Smashing Success
The Library would like to thank the Northwest Horticultural Society and specifically Deborah Heg, Ann LeVasseur & Barbara Asmervig for their initiative, creativity, time and hard work. Ralph and Lynn Davis donated the wine and many businesses and individuals donated items for the silent auction. The proceeds of over $13,000 from the event will directly benefit the Library’s operating budget.[…]

David Fishman’s love of horticulture and photography combines with his skills in photo restoration and graphics to create stunning photographs. More.

Book Launch Party for Dan Hinkley
The Northwest Horticultural Society is hosting a silent auction, lecture and book signing to celebrate the new release of The Explorer’s Garden: Shrubs and Vines from the Four Corners of the World by internationally renown plantsman, Dan Hinkley. The event is a fund raiser for the Miller Library
