Miller Library resumes Monday morning hours

Good news!  Beginning Monday, October 8, 2012, the Elisabeth C. Miller Library resumes all the open hours that were lost due to the financial cutbacks of 2008-2009.

The last missing piece was Monday mornings.  This means that through the academic year, the library will be open on Mondays from 9am-8pm.  Others hours will continue as they have been: Tuesday through Friday, 9am-5pm, and Saturday, 9am-3pm.

We’ve spent the summer migrating records and testing functionality and now the new catalog is ready for use.

Just a few of the benefits for patrons:

  • You can tell if the book you want is available
  • Magazine titles now included
  • View book covers

There are additional benefits, if you sign up for a patron account and log in to the new catalog

  • Renew items online
  • Place holds right from the catalog
  • Look-up your reading history
  • Get due date reminders
  • Save personal booklists

Visit the Miller Library to establish an account and begin checking out books.  As before, you don’t need to be a Husky to borrow books. If you’re already an active borrower, contact a staff member to update your patron account and get your login details.
