Dr. Linda Ann Vorobik, professional botanist and botanical artist, presents her work in Botanical Illustration: A Living Art as it has evolved during her 25 year career, including tools and methods she uses to create her illustrations, books including her work, and the work itself.

Botanical Art on Exhibit
Members from the Pacific Northwest chapter of the American Society of Botanical Artists will exhibit and sell botanical illustrations at the Miller Library from April 2 to May 1.
Artwork styles range from scientifically accurate water colors to representational wood-block prints.
Original works, prints and cards will be for sale to benefit the Library. Meet some of the artists at 5pm on April 2 at the Garden Lovers’ Book Sale preview party.[…]

Art Exhibit: The Nature of Clay by Katie Murphy
Katie Murphy strives to capture the beauty of nature in her ceramic art. As the Hyde Herbarium Collections Manager and current graduate student at the UW Botanic Garden, Center for Urban Horticulture, Katie is surrounded by color, texture, beauty and form and infuses her ceramic artwork with this botanical inspiration. Vibrant and charming watercolors will be on exhibit, featuring common garden flowers with an uncommon clarity of pure color.
