Course Requirements

Students in the HPAP Track must complete the core requirements of School of Public Health and Community Medicine and the MPH program in Health Services as well as the additional course requirements for the HPAP track itself.

The HPAP Track gives students the choice of completing either a traditional thesis or a Capstone Project to satisfy the thesis requirement.

General Requirements

Students must complete:
  • 63 credits total
of which:
  • At least 30 credits must be from graduate-level in-classroom courses
which must include:
  • At least 18 credits from Health Services in-classroom courses.
In addition to:
  • 3 credits of Practicum
  • 9 credits of Capstone Project
    (HPAP track also allows students to substitute a traditional Thesis for the Capstone Project.)

(Health Services students registering for HSERV 511 in autumn quarter are required to take the 4 credit option which includes a discussion session)
