HPRC's 25th Anniversary, 1986-2011

HPRC celebrates its 25th Anniversary!

At HPRC's 25th anniversary event on Sept. 16, 2011, we heard from keynote speaker Maxine Hayes, Washington State Health Officer, Howard Frumkin, Dean of the UW School of Public Health, and Larry Kessler, chair of the Department of Health Services. The fun and high-energy event was a testimony to HPRC's quarter of a century of research, goodwill, and action to improve the health of older adults.

Dr. Maxine Hayes Maxine Hayes, Washington State Health Officer, inspired us with her vision of HPRC's role in healthy aging for all older adults. In particular she recognized HPRC's strong collaboration with community partners, especially our work with DOH and other state agencies, and commended HPRC's many contributions to reducing health disparities.
