George Froehle
Community Educator, Recruitment Coordinator, and Retention
Coordinator
This position is responsible for communications about The Link Study and
other domestic studies with the larger Seattle community. The Community
Educator works with the Community Advisory Board, disseminates research
findings to interested parties, and drums up community support for future
studies. The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for enrolling study
participants into research trials through various means including:
advertisements, posters, street outreach, and working with other community
organizations. The Retention Coordinator contacts participants throughout
the study to make sure they are coming in for visits and that the study is
meeting their needs.
George Froehle comes from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has a
degree in Sociology and a certificate in African Studies. At the
UW-Madison he worked for Sex Out Loud, a student organization for sexual
health. He has also worked for the Madison AIDS Network, and Camp
Heartland (a camp for kids impacted by HIV/AIDS). Most recently he worked
for Gay City Health Project as their Queercore Coordinator. George also
does some contractual work with Toys In Babeland. He also sits on the
Seattle Quake Rugby Club board of directors and plays for the team.
