Thank you for visiting the homepage for Seattle's HIV Prevention Trials Unit at the University of Washington, a partner in the global HIV Prevention Trials Network. HPTU, along with our sister site, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's HIV Vaccine Trials Unit (HVTU), is dedicated to testing the safety and efficacy of vaccines and other interventions designed to help reduce the transmission of HIV. We want to thank the over 1,000 people from the Puget Sound region who have volunteered their time and energy to help us with our mission.
