Clinical Skills and Assessment

  • The teaching labs are available to courses within the UW Health Sciences, and must be scheduled prior to use.
  • As these rooms are used for procedures involving human body fluids, these labs are considered biohazard areas.
  • No eating and drinking is allowed at any time in biohazardous areas
  • Please place biohazardous waste only in the biohazard bags.
  • Regular waste must be disposed of only in the trash, and only laundry should be placed in the laundry bin.
  • Specula and other equipment must be disinfected and may be used by prior appointment only.
  • Do not remove manikins, equipment or supplies from the labs unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • The biohazard safety manual is located by the main sink in each laboratory. Please follow all applicable procedures. If an incident occurs, please contact: Jennie Struijk, (206) 685-4007.
