The Initiatives for Maximizing Student Diversity (IMSD) Program is a series of innovative services and support methods which will dramatically increase the ability of our biomedical graduate programs to attract, retain, and promote the success of underrepresented minority students. The IMSD program is sponsored by the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity, and the Department of Bioengineering

IMSD Program Includes:

• Academic “Boot Camp” for incoming freshman
• “Survival” seminar in academic and study skills
• “Teach Lab” Summer research training course
• Paid, mentored research opportunities
• GRE preparation courses
• Travel funds for national conferences
