Health Services Faculty Members Rachel Ceballos and Ranak Trivedi Receive Career Development Awards
Rachel Ceballos (Assistant Professor of Health Services) and Professor Ranak Trivedi (Research Assistant Professor of Health Services) have recently received substantial career development awards designed to help early-career faculty develop their research careers working in conjunction with senior research mentors.
Rachel's proposal titled "Addressing Psychosocial Disparities in Rural Hispanic Cancer Survivors" will address a significant gap in levels of distress and quality of life experienced by Hispanic cancer survivors living in rural communities using a biopsychosocial approach. The proposal was funded by the National Cancer Institute and will run through 2016.
Ranak's proposal titled "Developing a Couples Coping Intervention for Veterans with Heart Failure" was funded through the Career Development Program of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, and is funded 2012-2017.
