Health Services Alumni Celebration 2018
Hello Department of Health Services Community:
We invite you to join our alumni, students, faculty, and staff for the Department of Health Services Alumni Celebration 2018 on Friday January 12, from 6:00-9:00pm, at the Center for Urban Horticulture – NHS Hall (3501 NE 41st Street, Seattle, WA 98105).
It is our great pleasure and honor to announce that Dr. Maxine Hayes is our featured speaker for this event, giving a talk entitled "What Rock Formations in Utah Taught Me about Life in Turbulent Times."
As one of Washington State’s top health advocates, Dr. Hayes has served in many roles critical to community health and well-being. A select few include:
- State Health Officer and Assistant Secretary of Community and Family, Washington State Department of Health
- Clinical Professor, Health Services and Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Public Health and School of Medicine (respectively)
- Medical Director, Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic
Dr. Hayes is a legend in the state of Washington, a longtime leader in the field of maternal and child health, and a great friend of our School. We are thrilled that she will be joining us for this celebration, to share her words of wisdom and inspiration with our alumni and community.
Refreshments, as well as beer and wine, will be provided. We also look forward to a raffle and opportunity to support our students.
To RSVP by December 15, visit the event page (http://events.uw.edu/HSERValum2018), or feel free to contact Lauren Brackenbury, Marketing and Student Recruitment Specialist, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 206‐616‐1397.
We hope to see you there!
