UW Best Practices Workshop: Reform & Revenue
The University of Washington Programs in Health Services Administration will hold the fifth in a series of Best Practices Workshops, REFORM & REVENUE, at its Seattle campus on Saturday, April 12 from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The program explores revolutionary changes that will profoundly alter revenue streams of health care providers and payers over the next decade. This workshop is designed for executives, board members and physician / medical staff leaders.

Workshop Topics:
• Baseline: sources of revenue – type and amount
• Change: evolutionary and revolutionary
• Disruptive forces: health services payment and reimbursement
• Illustrative "wild cards": genomics and the "democratization of information"
• Transformational factors forcing revenue shifts
• Alternative future scenarios: core features, how they might unfold, implications
• Strategic responses: key threads; small group discussion and deliberation
