The Global Medicines Program presents: Albert Wertheimer, PhD, Professor and Director, Center for Pharmaceutical Health Services, Temple University School of Pharmacy. Dr. Wertheimer is a long-time leader in global pharmacy health services research and author of over 400 journal articles, 29 books, and has supervised 70 PhD students.
For 40+ years, researchers have been exploring non-compliance with medication taking by looking at hundreds of patient variables and combinations of patient attitudes, levels of education and beliefs. To date, none of these has succeeded in predicting compliance. This presentation will suggest that we have been looking in all the wrong places.
