As Associate Director of Patient and Family Centered Care and Education at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC), Cezanne Garcia, MPH, directs a broad range of patient and family centered care improvement and patient education programs that actively engage patients, families, and staff in collaborative partnerships to strengthen the link between relationship-centered care and evidence based medicine. As a member of the faculty, Cezanne works with students and faculty as guest lecturer and preceptor to strengthen the practice of patient and family centered care in the health science schools of UW. She is also dedicated to strengthening the health education profession, most recently participating in a Society of Public Health Educator's invitational meeting to set a research agenda on the role of health education in eliminating racial and ethic health disparities.
