When I first entered health care management, it was apparent that business management practices were a very low priority for most companies. After 25 plus years of professional experience and 20 years of teaching, I still find major gaps in the health care industry and the educational systems training health care professionals.

Jeff Lehman currently is president of the Dialysis Consulting Group, a company that specializes in the management of outpatient dialysis units. Previous professional positions include: chief operating officer at Northwest Kidney Center, Deputy Director of the Washington State Hospital Commission and Director of Finance at Evergreen General Hospital. He also served on the Board of a local health care system, his professonal association, and private companies as a founding member.
