General Program:

The curriculum of the Health Services MPH General Program offers a solid foundation in the core disciplines of Public Health. Students may pursue either a generalist Health Services focus or one of three concentrations.

The program is sufficiently flexible to accommodate individual learning interests including completion of several concurrent degrees or graduate certificates.

Generalist focus:
The Health Services generalist will satisfy the core Health Services MPH requirements and then will be free to take an individualized set of courses from the concentration offerings or other UW departments.

Concentrations:
Students pursuing a concentration will satisfy the core Health Services MPH requirements along with modifications and additional course requirements specified by the concentration.

Applicants to the Health Services MPH General Program may either:
  • Apply directly to a concentration
  • Apply as a generalist with the option of selecting a concentration later
    (Students must declare a concentration no later than the last day of Winter quarter during their first year of the program.)
