Ann Nguyen (2013)
Ann earned her MPH in epidemiology in 2011 and her BS in biomedical engineering in 2009 from UC Irvine. She has work experience in health workforce development, organizational learning and development, and physician on-boarding. From 2013-16, Ann was an MHA Research Assistant and Project Coordinator for the NSF Center for Health Organization Transformation (CHOT) at UW. In 2016-17, she will be working as a Research Assistant for the Washington State Health Care Authority to evaluate pilot sites of maternal health shared decision making within Accountable Care Programs (Washington's new accountable delivery and payment model). Ann is currently working with Dr. Chris Johnson on her dissertation: "Organizational Factors Affecting the Successful Integration of Physician Groups with Health Systems." This research is in collaboration with the University of Louisville and Commonwealth Institute of Kentucky. Ann's research interests include: physician integration, physician practices, integrated delivery systems, financial incentives, and health delivery system innovation. She has also publications in influenza mortality and veteran's health. Her Area of Emphasis is Health Systems Research.
Ann was awarded the Health Services Outstanding Doctoral Student Award in 2018.
