The current students have a broad range of interests including:

"Maternal child health, population health and social determinants"

"Quality of care. Women and children's health. Family violence. Long-term health sequelae and utilization of services associated with traumatic life experience."

"Rural health, hospitals, payment systems, Medicaid access"

"Reproductive health in the areas of health promotion and/or program evaluation particularly in "vulnerable population" and/or developing nations"

"End-of-life care, with a particular focus on medical decision making (e.g., decisions around advance directives), quality of life, and health/social service needs to facilitate a quality dying experience"

"Discrepancies in health outcomes of ethnic minority populations, primarily Asian Americans, with chronic illnesses such as cancer"

"Measurement of the outcomes of health services and the way in which compensation affects the organization and delivery and outcomes of those services"

"Rural health development programs; international health, physician migration, especially from the Third World to the US."

"Child health and methodology; US health insurance system, health plan structure, and insurance and structure effects on the health care, and health, of children"

"Cost and outcome evaluation of health promotion and prevention programs (focusing on physical activity and older adults for dissertation)"
