SERVICES
The Health Services Library and Information Center offers a number of
different services to students, faculty and staff.
LOCATION
The Health Services Information Center is located in the Magnuson Health Sciences Center at the southern end of the University of Washington Campus. The street address is 1959 N.E. Pacific. It is located in the H-wing (near the western end of the building) on the 6th floor. The Information Center is housed within the Department of Health Services and the room numbers are H-668D and H-668E.

COLLECTION DESCRIPTION
The Health Services Information Center
houses a small, current collection of journals, books, and government
reports relevant to the field of Health Services. A variety of subjects
are emphasized to support research and education within the Department
including health management, health promotion and education, statistical
and evaluation methods, health status, ethical issues, minority health,
international health, disability studies, health economics, and public
health.
The most recent two years of many of the core health services and public
health journals
are available.
Reference materials are loaned only under
exceptional circumstances. Materials are arranged in alphabetical order by
author or first significant title word. Please ask for staff assistance in
locating materials.
Many National Center for Health Statistics data tapes and
CD-ROMs are also available.
CIRCULATION
Journals may be borrowed for 2 hours (or for
photocopy) only. Books circulate for 1 to 2 days. Special arrangements can
be made with the librarian to borrow materials for a longer period of
time.
To check out an item sign the card attached to the material and leave it
in the wooden box marked "Circulation." If there is no card please ask for
assistance. Materials should not be reshelved. Leave them in the wire bin
which says "Return Materials Here."
