2002 Fellowships at The Huntington Library

Approximately 100 fellowships for research in English or American literature, history, art history, and the history of science, using materials at the Library, will be awarded.

HUNTINGTON RESEARCH AWARDS are for one to five months and carry monthly stipends of $2000.

W.M. KECK FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIPS FOR YOUNG SCHOLARS, intended to support the completion of a dissertation, are for one to three months and carry monthly stipends of $2300.

BARBARA THOM POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS, designed to support a non-tenured faculty member who is revising a manuscript for publication, are for nine to twelve months and carry a stipend of $30,000.

MELLON POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS are for nine to twelve months with a stipend of $30,000.

NEH FELLOWSHIPS offer stipends of up to $30,000 for four to twelve months.

Recipients of all fellowships are expected to be in continuous residence at the Huntington and to participate in its intellectual life.
