Visiting Assistant Professor

The history department at Connecticut College invites applicants for a one-year position at the rank of visiting assistant professor or instructor in 19th-Century United States history. Preferred secondary areas: African American history, Environmental history, the History of Science, Borderlands history, Native American history, Film or Cultural history. Responsibilities include a 3/3 teaching load with courses on the introductory level as well as advanced courses in the candidateÕs specialty. Ph.D. and teaching experience preferred.

The appointment will begin July 1, 2001.
