Visiting Assistant ProfessorConneticut CollegeThe history department at Connecticut College invites applicants for a one-year position at the rank of visiting assistant professor or instructor in 19th-Century United States history. Preferred secondary areas: African American history, Environmental history, the History of Science, Borderlands history, Native American history, Film or Cultural history. Responsibilities include a 3/3 teaching load with courses on the introductory level as well as advanced courses in the candidateÕs specialty. Ph.D. and teaching experience preferred. The appointment will begin July 1, 2001. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
