LECTURER 2 X 2 YEAR CONTRACT POSTS HISTORY PROGRAMME

The History Programme is seeking to appoint two historians who have or are about to complete their doctoral degrees. The successful applicants will be required to develop and teach courses in African and world history at undergraduate and graduate levels, and participate in the administrative and the general academic duties of the History Programme, which includes computer-based and on-line instruction. These will be contract appointments for a period of two years. One candidate should be able to assume duty on the 1 August 2001 and the other on 15 January 2002. The selection process will commence on 15 June 2001 and will continue until a suitable candidate is appointed or a decision is taken not to fill the post. The package offered will be dependent on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
