Call for Papers: 2003 Annual Meeting

Lewis & Clark Trail Heritage Foundation

August 10 - August 13, 2003

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA

The Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation is now accepting paper proposals for presentation at our annual meeting in 2003, hosted by the Philadelphia Chapter, in cooperation with the American Philosophical Society and the Academy of Natural Sciences. To commemorate the bicentennial of the Lewis & Clark expedition we hope to showcase the latest scholarship on the social, cultural and scientific worlds existing in Philadelphia in 1803. Since the theme of the meeting is The Quest for Knowledge: Lewis in Philadelphia, we especially encourage submission of papers that explore the history of Philadelphia, its place in the new nation or examine the history of science in the early republic.
