New Appointments

Program in History of Science

Princeton University's Program in History of Science is pleased to announce two new appointments.

D. Graham Burnett, who holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and has recently published Masters of All They Surveyed: Exploration, Geography, and a British El Dorado (Chicago, 2000), will join the Department of History as an assistant professor in the fall of 2001.

Michael Gordin, will join the faculty as assistant professor in the fall of 2003, following his tenure as a Junior Fellow of Harvard's Society of Fellows. His just-completed dissertation at Harvard University is a cultural biography of Mendeleev.
