University of Washington Graduate Student Philosophy Conference

History and Philosophy of Science: Expectation,
Explanation, and Explication

October 5-7, 2001

Keynote address by Arthur Fine:

"What Can We Expect From the Philosophy of Science?"

Papers in all areas of philosophy are welcome. However, special consideration will be given to papers in the history and philosophy of science. Submitters must be graduate students or advanced undergraduates at the time of the conference.

Submissions are due by July 20, 2001. There will be a $35 conference fee for all participants, covering lunches. Papers should be limited to 15-30 minutes reading time. Selections are determined by blind review; no identifying references should appear within the paper.

Please submit two copies of the paper and abstract, and a separate cover page with name and address to:
