Ethernet Access
Wireless Ethernet Access
The Husky Union Building provides WiFi (wireless) ethernet
access in all meeting and event spaces. An
active UW NetID is required to access the UW wireless network.
Wireless access for off-campus visitors for any HUB meeting
or event must be arranged in advance by requesting temporary
UW NetIDs from UW Technology. Off-campus
customers holding meetings or events in the HUB will
need a UW sponsor to request temporary UW NetIDs on their behalf.
HUB Event Services recommends off-campus customers approach
their UUF sponsor to make wireless access arrangements. UW
Technology has wireless access policies, roles and responsibilies,
and payment information available on their website. For additional
information, please visit UW
Technology - Wireless Access for Visitors.
HUB Event Services and its staff are not responsible for support
related to password, connectivity, computer compatibility,
or any other technical issues that may arise in the arrangement
or use of UW wireless systems by any off-campus groups or individual
users in the HUB.
Wired Ethernet Access
The HUB offers wired ethernet connections in most meeting
and event spaces. Wired access does not require an active UW
NetID and offers a limited number of wired connections in HUB
event spaces. Access to wired ethernet connections must be
requested at the time of the reservation request.
HUB Event Services requires that any computer connected to
a wired ethernet port be fully protected with OS updates and
virus protection.
If you have questions about which type of ethernet access
is appropriate for your meeting or event, please contact HUB
Event Services.
